Uhm... some arguments to discuss, really, I can't get wait for this release

So:
- why a new fs hierarchy? Don't you think could be confusing for a standard *nix user to adapt to new paths?

- why define a new Package Manager if it's based on pre-esisting, standard, package management tools already widely used in the original distro (ubuntu)? This could sound provocatory, and in fact, it is

just a way to make you explain the differences between moonPackage and, say, Synaptic (apt-get/dpkg).
What I'd love to find in moonOs 4:
- more artworks, more themes, more enlightement, less Gnome/GTK

...easy to say, uh?
As for me... I tried both MoonOs and OpenGEU in order to test E17 on my older PC... I ended to install also on a VM on my laptop. I prefer moonOs because it seems slightly faster and stable than the counterpart (too Gnome in it maybe?). I'd like that the evolution of this distro keep always an eye on the performance even on older machines, and I'd love one day to use only specific E17 apps to do everything I do.
That's not the case in MANY real applications.
The last case occourred to me: I'm looking for (I also asked for in the SW section

) a simple, basic TeX editor with just syntax highilight and preview mode. Would you like a light, fast solution for that? Well, actually you have to resolve dependencies for extra gfx libs, for many MB of stuff.
Just to say... I would focus on specific e17 applications, as soon as possible, also to draw a distinguish path that will make MoonOs an unique distro, and not just "another ubuntu-based one".
These my 2 cents
